"For over 20 years my companies have helped other businesses do more for less by using technology in innovative ways. NetTools is a great example of this." Paul Horak, CEO
The NetTools technology was born in New Zealand, initially as a way to regulate internet access for a few hotels, holiday parks and other hospitality venues. In those days, internet was expensive and guests were expected to pay to use it.
NetTools today is the result of thousands of hours of development time. It has been transformed as a product, but it still has the same roots - built on a solid foundation.
NetTools was started and is run by Paul Horak. Paul has a long history of starting and operating successful technology based companies. His achievements have included building one of New Zealand's largest rural wireless broadband networks, data centres and several software projects. Paul is based in New Zealand.
NetTools principal developers are based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Our core business develops and maintains the NetTools software and worldwide network of cloud based servers. We are wholesale only and our model is to partner with local businesses who provide installation and support for our hospitality clients.
The NetTools servers are hosted in partner data centres. We aim to operate a fault tolerant, fully redundant system and strive for 99.99% uptime. To achieve this we have servers located in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Servers may be added in other countries for capacity reasons, but our existing network provides worldwide coverage.
